Mahadev Ranade's youngest brother Sreepath Ranade ("Baba") became a renowned doctor who went to Africa.
The real force behind the Prarthana Samaj movement was Dr. Atmaram Pandurang, who founded the organization in 1867 in Bombay, India. He was supported by other prominent social reformers such as Keshav Chandra Sen and Justice Mahadev Govind Ranade. Together, they aimed to promote social and religious reforms in Hindu society.
