Should children be allowed to watch whatever they want on TV?

I think thet there are resons.

I have a friend who watches T.V. In his bedroom all day. If you have a kid like this

its a 50/50%.

If you have a kid like me (Im nine) I read, I go on computer, and T.V. for a couple of hours If you have a kid like this, It wouldn't be a bad idea. although, if your kids room only has little room a small tv on a dest (ps. i do have a facebook and im on my dads

yes because what if they wanted to watch something and so were u they can watch in there bedroom instead of u not watching what u want hope this helps :)

I would say no, the television will keep there brains busy and they can be very distracted. Sleep studies for children also recommend that they don't watch television one hour before bed. I would recommend a sound machine.

Repeat studies have shown that media violence does not create violent children, but adolescents can be influenced by the things they watch. This is reflected in their speech, dress and social behaviors. I would vote no. The children in my home are restricted in regards to sexual behavior and extreme profane language. Otherwise I have potty mouthed heathens. They are however allowed to watch blood and gore, and my four year old is zombie obsessed.

People's opinions differentiate from person to person. I think televisions are not meant to be put in children's bedrooms. Children should read, play, learn, and do other things other than sit and watch TV. TV is OK once and a while, yet being put into a child's room increases their chance to watch, since they are in that room many times per day.
