NO !... They're a distraction, with far too much temptation to use them in lessons - instead of learning. If a parent needs to contact a pupil in an emergency, they only need to phone the school - and vice versa if the school needs to contact a parent. Additionally - it's far too easy to for a pupil to have their phone stolen. Mobile phones should be barred from schools.
