Unlock codes are specific to the phone's IMEI. There are many unlock service providers on the web that will get you your code for a fee. Or you can call ATT (assuming it's an ATT branded phone) and tell them you are traveling abroad and would like to use your phone on a foreign network while away. Usually they will give it to you in that case.
All unlock code are specific for each phone. Don't put a code that you are not sure. Because you can freeze your phone. But for Motorola its no grave because it will unfreez 10 minutes later...
