Crosman made all the airguns for Montgomery Wards. Unfortunately my catalogue doesn't list this particular model (not all the records were kept and some cross-reference models were lost.) But I did a search on the web for (Montgomery Ward Hawthorne M140 ) and found a photo of the M140. With this I cross-referenced it with my Catalogue and I believe it is a Crosman model 140 made in 4 variations from 1954 to 1968. If you go to the Crosman home page you can find a link to all their airgun owners and parts manuals at the bottom of the Crosman home page.

Many computer shops sell used and refurbished computers. It is best to find a local place that repairs computers. They usually carry computers that have been rebuilt or repaired and ready for sale.
Hawthorne was made by Crosman for Wards. I suggest looking up on the net under "Air Gun Repair" for someone close to you.
I'm going to try to answer this in two parts. 1. Montgomery Wards Pellet rifles and guns were made by Crosman corp under the Hawthorne name. 2. This is pure speculation and a best guess. I believe the m140 is the "Crosman model 140" it is a pump, single shot, 22 cal pellet rifle. It had a wooden stock with the forearm as the pump handle. there were 3 variations made, starting in 1954 ending in 1968.
Yes technically but i would go for other upgrades first such as a prometheus barrel or a new cylinder/cylinder head and piston as a good air seal and a consistent fps will give you better range and accuracy then pure fps mine shoots 410 w .25s with stock spring and those mods and i can hit a person at 75-100 yards easily an i still have a great ROF
I believe it's a Crosman 140. But you need to tell me the condition of the Rifle to give you and answer to it's value. Is It Excellent (Like new) Fair ( Some use) Poor ( scratched & dented with rust) If I am right it's a pump with a two piece wooden stock. Contact me on my message board and I'll try to help you.
