Each component in a network connected by wires is called a terminal. Components in a network that are not connected by wires, such as in a shared Wi-Fi connection are also called terminals.
A remote terminal is a computer connected to a network, but is not physically in the same building as the rest of the computers on the network. For example, it might be a computer at the home of a business employee, connected over a secure link to their place of work.
A personal computer that is connected to a network is called a workstation or terminal.
An adjacency set is a collection of neighboring nodes in a network. It represents the connections between nodes in a graph or network. In terms of network connectivity, the adjacency set helps determine which nodes are directly connected to each other, which is essential for understanding the overall structure and flow of information in a network.
The only disadvantage will be internet speed.
A Terminal device is a computer connects directly to a network server and does not have an independent operating system. They are also sometimes referred to as dumb terminals as they would not be able to do anything unless connected to the main network.
Seamless networking means that network connectivity remains connected with no disconnection during handover to next networking area....
I have downloaded the terminal app for my Samsung Intercept(Virgin Mobile) I have connected my phone through Wifi to the PC with Virtual data Cord app and swiftp app( had to add a network place to view files from swiftp app) If ya want to add an ftp network. Just add netword and your server ip is the wifi url in the swiftp app. port for ftp is always 2121. Set up the username same as in app and a network name i.e FTP Wifi Network. Just install like you word anything on wizard and then open and add username and password from swift app. That is it you are able to view and manage files from the PC. From either of them can I run my Android's terminal emulator on my PC? Or do I have to use it from the Phone?
No. Connectivity test does not require a live network. It does however, require a loopback adapter/plug. If you're using the same book (Network+ Guide to Networks 5th Edition by Tamera Dean). You should find your answer on the bottom of page 254. :p
PuTTY, or putty, is an open sourced terminal emulator that can control SSH connections, as well as transfer files across a network, and act as a serial console.
