Which type of media is appropriate to use for LAN connectivity in an electrically noisy industrial environment? coaxial cable
Wired transmission media is media used to transfer information over a network, such as Twisted Pair cable. This is opposed to wireless transmission media which uses radio waves to transmit information. There are many types of wired transmission media such as coaxial cable, telephone lines, etc. Basically any form of wire used to transmit information over a network is considered a wired transmission media.
coaxial
fiber
transmission media two types of wirless transmission media and logical transmission media it is used in computer networking devices because it very used in networking computer and bery eassy to configure it and manually configures.
Fiber optic cable
it is a transmission media..
cheap and simple connection use utp if noise or interference have to consider then co-axial
there are two type of medium in communication 1.guide medium 2.unguided medium those which have some path or wire, or we can say signals travels through through wire or any medium is called guide medium. while without any wire or when ever there is wireless system like bluetooth, infrared is used is unguided medium. we can say guide (wire) and and unguide (wireless) communication or system.
Yes, Ethernet is very common on LANs and is a baseband transmission type.
The standard is Cat-5 cabling. It really depends on your needs but for a small LAN cat-5 will suffice.
