A milliner was a merchant who sold cloth, clothes, and clothing accessories. They also sold imported good, or goods brought from other place. They fixed hats by using a goffer. A goffer could also be used to re curl hair pieces that had gone straight. Items such as shirts, aprons, caps, clocks, shifts, petticoats, and gloves were made and sold there. Also, sold there was cloth, ribbons, pocketbooks and hats. They sold fabrics, thread, trims, purses, children's clothes and toys, cosmetics, jewelry, books, and dishes.
