A few would say that murder is good but these views are generally not accepted widely by society and in general. A hundred different people can give you hundred different reasons why murder is bad. The reason can be logical, emotional, religious etc. etc. People may also consider exceptions when murder is justified: war, self-defense, greater good, capital punishment, etc. All are very controversial. Society punishes murder through law and enforcement. It does not concern itself why murder is bad or how morality is different for every individual. This answer cannot answer if murder is good or bad. Everyone seems to have the answers to moral questions. But it is writer's view that there are not enough questions and there are too many answers. Keep asking.

Having a case successfully appealed does not look good on a police department nor the DA.
