There are 2 basic types of office layout. The first is what I like to call "proper layout" where everything flows nicely. Everything is easily accessable and there is room to walk around. The other type is "improper" where (for example) your desk is in front of the bathroom door and every time someone needs to use the restroom you have to push your desk out of the way. Next the boss moves your desk to the broom closet where space is really an issue then finally your moved to the basement where your given a can of bug spray and told to take care of the roach problem along with all of the other tasks your expected to perform. At that point, office layout is the least of your problems. Also, management just stops paying you hoping you just go away.
