RG-59/U and RG-60/U
The best size is RG 6 coax. However for short runs RG 59 will work.
Actually, a coaxial cable is used for both modems and TV's.
Iam pretty sure that baseband coax was 50 ohm and was used for networking computer, were broadband coax is 75 ohm and used in the cable tv industry.
We use a RG6 coax cable from the dish to the receiver. The cable used between the receiver to the TV varies.
Probably, for short runs. It really depends on the impedance of the cable (it should be 75 ohms), that cable's internal capacitance (in feet) the distance and the frequency range for which it's being used. Your best bet is to use RG-6 or RG56.
A coax box in a home entertainment system is used to connect cable or satellite signals to the TV. It helps to receive and decode the signal, allowing you to watch TV channels on your television.
I think you mean a (TV antenna amplifier) RF amplifier used with coax cable. The answer is YES it will work with DTV.
Cable modems use RG-6 coax cables.
If you are using the output of an RF modulator (which is not built in to any current gaming console), you can use many different adapters to attach a signal to the coax cable jack. What you cannot do is use a signal that is a RCA composite or component video output from a game console to attach to the coax cable jack. You will need an external RF modulator to generate a signal to appear on channel 3 or 4 of the TV.
In northAmerica all coaxial connections made to a television are made with 75 Ohm coax. Typical sizes will be RG-59, RG-6 or maybe RG-11 (less common).
UTP & COAX cable's are used
coaxial is useful in the fact that not only is it used by your cable boxes to recieve tv channels but it also can be used at the same time with a modem to receive an internet connection from your isp!
