Most that I've fitted go in about 2 - 2.5 inches. Just enough to use a piece of 1x4 as a mounting board.
To replace a single handle shower valve, first turn off the water supply to the shower. Remove the handle and trim plate to access the valve. Disconnect the valve from the pipes and install the new valve in its place. Reattach the handle and trim plate, then turn the water supply back on to test the new valve.
Seats in the main valve body are leaking by, allowing water to go to the shower head.
To replace a Pfister shower valve, you will need to turn off the water supply, remove the handle and trim, disconnect the valve, install the new valve, and reassemble the handle and trim. It is recommended to follow the manufacturer's instructions or consult a professional plumber for assistance.
To replace a Grohe shower valve, you will need to turn off the water supply, remove the handle and trim plate, disconnect the old valve, install the new valve, and reassemble the handle and trim plate. It is recommended to consult the manufacturer's instructions or seek professional help if needed.
The incoming hot and cold lines go to separate inlets on the mixing valve. The single output will go to both the spigot and the shower head.
You replace it. If it's a squeal, you replace the shower head fist. If that doesn't make the noise go away, you replace the shower control valve. Odds are since you came online to ask how to fix it, you're not qualified to replace the control valve. Call a plumber now or call a plumber and a drywall contractor to fix it after you make your "repairs"
Depends on if it is a just a shower or a shower/tub combo. There is no set heigth or industry standard. If it is for a shower only and to be used by adults only it can go as high as 48" but if children are using it you may think about lowering it from 36" to 44". If it is being used for a tub/shower it needs to be at a height that can be easily reached from a sitting position in the tub but not to low for shower use. Hope this helps.
To install a shower pipe in the wall, you will need to first locate the studs in the wall where you want to install the pipe. Use a stud finder to find the studs and mark their locations. Then, use a drill to create a hole in the wall where you want the pipe to go. Insert the pipe into the hole and secure it in place using pipe fittings and a wrench. Finally, connect the pipe to the water supply and test for leaks before sealing up the wall.
On the back of the valve/diverter there are either four or three openings. One on either side for hot and cold water coming into the valve and one on top going up to the shower arm. If it is there the fourth opening is on the bottom and would go to the tub spout. Depending on the design you may have to solder adapters for the cpvc fittings into the openings of the valve.
This question is vague as it doesn't state where exactly between the main and shower head it has broken. However, worse case scenario, the wall will have to be excavated a little to allow for the pipe to be replaced, using the required fittings to go with it.
No. You don't have to shower at the YMCA. You can go and shower at your house.
Get People To go in the shower lol!
