The consequences of vandalism and spamming of WikiAnswers - is spelled out in the guidelines (see related link). In simple terms - there's nothing to stop someone intent on causing disruption to the content of WikiAnswers. However - a potential 'offender should ask themselves WHY they do it - since their action could affect not only their own activity here - but that of everyone using their IP address. WikiAnswers records the IP address of EVERY contributor - whether that's an individual or a school network. Quoting directly from the Guidelines... "...Your IP address has been recorded. It goes into our logs and our logs get stored. When you make a change, your IP address is made public so we can see it...."
Does WikiAnswers always answer truthfully?
Like most websites, we try to provide truthful answers to the questions here. But like any wiki, there will always be spammers, trolls, and vandals who have "fun" putting crazy and malicious things on our site. We have a program to stop such things, but sometimes we need your help in finding the bad stuff. If you find an answer that has been vandalized, please push the "report abuse" button on the top right corner of the question. Someone will take a look and fix the problem.

What is the difference between reporting abuse or flagging a question?
Flagging a question is usually for any member to correct that question. Reporting abuse is used to help Vandal Patrol catch vandals and spammers. Flagging questions is usually the best route, but if you need a VP member, you can always report the abuse by using our installed mechanism.
Are the answers that this website is giving people true?
Hopefully, all community members of WikiAnswers are doing their best to give accurate and relevant information. Sometimes there are spammers or vandals and Supervisors are charged with removing their garbage from the site. If you suspect that an answer is not truthful, please report it to a Supervisor or try to answer it yourself with the correct information.
