Never heard of that brand , but generally the only purpose of valves on tanks is to relieve high pressure. If this valve is piped down to floor or drain then that is definitely its function.

How does a latco valve work?

A Latco valve, commonly used in heating and cooling systems, regulates the flow of water based on temperature changes. It typically operates using a thermal element that expands or contracts in response to temperature variations, opening or closing the valve to maintain the desired setpoint. When the temperature rises, the thermal element expands, allowing more flow; when it cools, it contracts, reducing flow. This automatic adjustment helps optimize system efficiency and maintain consistent temperature control.

How do you connect the waterpipes to a geyser?

To connect the water pipes to a geyser, first, ensure that the power supply is turned off. Connect the cold water supply pipe to the inlet valve of the geyser, typically marked with a blue label, using appropriate fittings and plumbing tape to prevent leaks. Next, attach the hot water outlet pipe, usually marked with a red label, to the geyser's outlet valve. Finally, ensure all connections are secure and check for any leaks before turning the power back on and testing the geyser.

What causes geysers to erupt?

the most common cause for a geyser to erupt is due to a tempreature and pressure problem. many plumbers who dont know how to install geyers properly, plug off the TP safety valve outlet (Temp and Pressure), what happens, the thermostat in the geyser fails and cannot control the tempreature inside the geyser, causing the geyser to over boil, which then creates extra pressure (because of the steam) within the geyser, so when that safety outlet is plugged off the geyser takes an enormous amount of strain, and then it finally explodes. it can be devestating and has known to rip roofs off houses.

What geyser in old faithful area is the oldest geyser and how can you tell?

Castle Geyser
