The Name Fiona.

The origins of this name are difficult to accuratelyidentify . Wide spread belief however attributes the name to its Gaelic origins where it is accepted to relate to a blond and fair skinned Lassie from the highlands . The more likely and more sinister origin however is that it is off Greek origin with a derivative from the ancient name of Fina .Fina was the god of damage and destruction and all people subsequently christened with this title are said to be cursed with a propensity to "cause damage and destruction where ever they tread ". Modern Fina's/Fiona' are said to be clumsy accident prone and dangerous to be with .So be careful and tread lightly and carefully when with or around the cursed Fina's.

Fiona means fair lady. (I think. My class was doing a class novel and we were looking up the meanings behind a name, and that's what I got.)
