The term tmr on a wristwatch usually stands for the "timer". This is function is a common feature in most modern watches. It allows you to set a certain amount of time on the watch and when you press the designated start button the watch will count down, and when it reaches zero, it emits an audio alert (buzzer) to alert you that it has reached zero. This function also works in reverse. Wherein you set the watch to zero, press start, and the watch will count up until the designated stop/reset button is pressed.
