When you block someone on AT&T, any text messages they send you will not be delivered to your device. Instead, the messages may appear to the sender as if they were sent successfully, but you won’t receive any notifications or see those messages in your inbox. In essence, blocking prevents any communication from that person, ensuring they can’t reach you via text.
It will stay archived until you delete it, otherwise it won't be deleted but it will reappear to Inbox if the person sends you another message.
