A Copy Assistant, in the WikiReviewers program, is a user on the site that would like to brush up on their spelling and grammar skills. They do smaller tasks, such as spelling replacement. Although they are smaller tasks, they are still a big help to the site. It is not required that you take the test to get into the Copy Assistants, but the project types are more limited.
To become a Copy Assistant you should contact the WikiReviewers coordinator. See the related links below.
The Copy Assistants are people from the WikiReviewers Program. The Copy Assistants are entry level WikiReviewers. They are assigned spelling and grammar replacement tasks, helping to improve the overall quality and readability of the site. They are given a badge to show that they posses this rank.
Copy editors, Archive Researchers, Editors at large, Literary Editors, Trendsetters, and Copy assistants.
To stay active as a Copy Assistant in the WikiReviewers, you will need to pick up assignments from the group coordinator. This is Myrab51. When you complete your assignment, you will need to message her to let her know and to request another one.
If you mean a group that works on correcting spelling, then yes. There are the Copy Editors and the Copy Assistants. They are both part of the WikiReviewers program.
Yes you do. Once you're ready email or message Myrab51, who is the Managing Editor and she will get you set up.
The role of the Managing Editor on the WikiReviewers Program is to co-ordinate all activities related to the program. You cannot apply to become a WikiReviewers managing Editor. The only WikiReviewers Managing Director is Myrab51 and the WikiReviewers themselves.
Robin and WikiReviewers are the only managing editor; it is not a subgroup that you can choose to be in.
A copy editor is a person who reviews style, spelling, formatting, grammar, and overall quality of a document. On WikiAnswers, there is a group of Copy Editors within the WikiReviewers. See the related question below for more on the WikiReviewers.
You must pass the quiz to get into a main WikiReviewers division. However, if you do not pass, you are not just turned away. There is a sub group called the Copy Assistants, which does not require a test. The Copy Assistants take on different types of projects. They still do a lot to contribute and improve the quality of the site. If a Copy Assistant has taken on projects for a few months, and feels they are ready, they qualify to retake the test.
