The Teleputer was invented in 1980 by Michael Aldrich and consisted of a 14" Colour TV on a plinth containing a Z80 computer with two floppy disks, networking capability for digital data and terrestrial TV reception. It was sold in volume in the UK during the 1980s. A Cyrillic version was made and it was used extensively on the Siberian Gas Pipeline. More information can be found in Wikipedia 'Videotex'.
