It depends on what kind of TV it is. If it is a CRT or cathode ray tube, then it will have a glass tube on the inside that emits electrons onto the screen. The electrons are part of the process that lights the screen up. In addition to this you will also seen lots of circuit boards and ICs, depending on what kind of TV it is. If it is an LCD TV you should seen much more electronics and some form of liquid crystal display. Again, depending on the kind of TV it is.

If you're intending on taking apart a TV - don't. The voltages within it can be as high as 20000 volts. The voltage can and do kill people and remember that in many cases, the voltages can be present days or even weeks after the television has been turned off.

What a television looks like inside of it will depend on what kind of television you have. The huge, bulky televisions don't have a lot in them. They are often hollow but do have the necessary components inside of them to operate such as a video card and such. A flat screen TV is full of wires and engineering components.
