Synecdoche is a rhetorical device in which a part of something is used to represent the whole, or vice versa. For example, referring to a car as "wheels" highlights a component to imply the entire vehicle. It is often employed in literature and everyday language to create vivid imagery or emphasize certain aspects of a subject.
