The simple answer is - don't ! If you lie - and say your phone was stolen, they'll probably ask you for a crime number or some other proof you have reported it to the police. If you then give (obviously) false information - they willfind out you've lied - and youcould end up being arrested ! You would be committing fraud, and wasting police time - both of which are serious offences !
The lesson to learn is - take more care of your phone ! Every phone has to be paid for - by the more careful users in their bills ! The phone company simply passes on the cost of 'lost' phones to their customers !
In over 20 years of owning a mobile phone - I have neverlost one - or had one stolen !
Sad to say, there's no way to recover the phone book of lost phone, unless it is a VoIP phone and have back-up online.

Yes, just lie and say"I'm sorry but i don't have a phone. My mom has a cell phone but you wouldn't want that number would you?"
Say " I lost my phone number, can I have yours?" if you like her, but if she is a friend say " Hey. Anything new?"
Some people would say that it is ok for the president to lie when it is in the best interest of the nation, but others would disagree.
i would say Verizon
say u lost ur phone then you get to keep it simple!!
As much as I'd hate to say it, yeah, best friends do lie. It is the worst thing imagineable, but yeah they do. Sorry, I'm sure this isn't the answer you were looking for, but it's the truth.
a handstand is probably the best you make your dog lie for 10 secs then say beg and teach them this
It is hard to say which Verizon phones are the best, it is really what kind of phone you are looking for. I would say the best touchscreen phone out there right now is probably the Motorola Razr. It is on 4g and is very slim line and very fast.
