It was either an assault rifle, or a machine gun.
umm....Why did the people of Sparks think they were better than those of Ember? Why were the people of Ember being blamed? Who through those darn tomatoes? Why was the tomato 'inncident' such a big deal? What was the treasure that was supposedly in the city? Who was the mayor of Sparks? I can't think of more, I'm sorry I hope these even helped. umm....Why did the people of Sparks think they were better than those of Ember? Why were the people of Ember being blamed? You go girl! (referring to Miss DuPrau)
The Order is the City of Ember, The People of Sparks, The Prophet of Yonwood, and The Diamond of Darkhold. The Prophet of Yonwood is a prequel, so you could read it first but then the actually book 1, the City of Ember, isn't fun to read at all because then you know the secret. Well, there you go!
Both fighting sides fighting had put out the fire together. The Spark's people then agreed to let the Pople of Ember stay as long as wanted as long as they also become The people of Sparks. Doon shows the people a lightbulb and even lights it up. They work together and live in peace.
The book is about a underground city's lights that may go out and never come back, The city is built to last only 200 years so Lina Mayfleet and Doon Harrow work together to try to find the way out of ember, As Lina finds a piece of paperwork the paper work is called " Instructions For Egress" which means the exit so they try to work together to find the exit out of ember, As they find the way out of ember which leads to the second book of ember it's called " The people of Sparks" Well that's all that happened in City of Ember.
people that escape from an underground city because they r slowly running out of suppliesexactly right. I recommend you to read this book & the one after called THE PEOPLE OF SPARKS. i have not read it but i will & it totally sounds good.
In the book "The City of Ember" by Jeanne DuPrau, it is mentioned that 400 people were selected to go to the underground city of Ember.
The main charaters, like in the City of Ember, were Lina Mayfleet and Doon Harrow. Yes, but there are also some other ones, first off, you forgot some from the first book. -Poppy -Mrs.Murdo(she isn't really big in the first book, but becomes more important in the second0 - Mr.harrow(doons dad) Now to the new characters -Torren -The town leader
The theme in the book, The People of Sparks, is People Struggle Against Society.
In 'The People of Sparks' (the Second Book of Ember) three characters travel to a "great city" located on an enormous bay by the ocean. It is also mentioned that it rains during Winter, but there is no mention of snow. By these two clues I think we can safely assume that Ember's hill/cave and the town of Sparks are near San Francisco.
