It think you should for a service-plan. The difference is when you opt for a service plan esp in-home service plan, you're in no-hassle to take it to the service center in case of any malfunction. Unlike, the insurance covers your product but in case of damages you can claim to a certain extent. I've covered my electronics with Consumer Priority Service and they are good and well-recognized. I'd suggest service plan would be a better option.
