This sounds like the type of connections you might find on the back of a VCR or a DVD player. The TV IN should be where you connect the antenna and the TV OUT would be where you connect the coaxial cable to the TV sets antenna input. When the unit is in the play mode it sends it's picture and sound out on a TV channel. Channels 3 and 4 are the most common. Play a tape or disc and then put the TV on channel 3 or 4 and see if you don't get a picture. Stopping the unit and turning the power OFF should switch the TV back to it's own tuner. Changing channels on the TV should produce the stations from your TV antenna.
