Electrical energy. The whole purpose of power lines is to transfer energy from one place to another, in the form of an electrical current.
There is no scientific evidence to suggest that living near power lines causes any kind of health problems.
There may be 'lines' strung between buildings on some research stations, and a few of them may provide power to some buildings. However, there is no 'power grid' or dependable power -- any kind, except wind -- source on the continent.
