The Solar System is in the Milky Way Galaxy, approximately 25,000 light years give or take a 1000 lys from the center. It measures approx. 100,000 lys across.

In turn the Milky Way is in the Local Cluster of about 30 galaxies measuring about 10 million lys across. There are 3 spiral galaxies, the Milky Way, Andromeda and the smaller Triangulum galaxy. The rest are elliptical, irregular and dwarf galaxies.

The local cluster is a part of the much larger Virgo Super cluster or LSC. The LSC contains about 100 Galaxies and measures some 110 million Lys across.

The Milky Way, there are other galaxies such as Andromeda, Pinwheel, Tadpole, Whirlpool, Cartwheel, or Comet Galaxy.
