You might look into Motorola's Droid X phone. It is usually the same price ($299) as the forthcoming Droid Razr, but since it will now be a little older, you might be able to get a better deal on it. The features of the two phones are relatively close.
Motorola currently offers 19 different Android phones to choose from. The DROID RAZR series are the best, but if you are on a budget then you may want to try the Motorola XT866.
Yes the Motorola Droid can download apps for the Motorola app store not the apple store.
Droid is a trademark of Motorola used on their Google Android OS phones. Is the HTC Rhyme an Android phone? Yes, running Android OS 2.3.4 with HTC Sense 3.5.
Verizon offer a number of Motorola cell phones. One can get phones including the 'Motorola Droid A855', 'Motorola Droid X', 'Motorola Vu204' and the 'Motorola Barrage'.
So the "droid" phones are running an operating system called android. Both the Motorola Droid and the HTC Droid Incredible (I assume you are talking about these two) run android. The difference (aside from physical features) is that HTC has added another interface on top of the regular android called "HTC Sense". It is still running android it just has extra features, widgets, and different styled menus than the original android system. The Moto Droid runs just android for the most part. There are some tweaks that Motorola did but thing too crazy. The Droid 2, X, and Pro all have a "NinjaBlur" interface.
Motorola phones are very high quality phones. They are some of the best on the market. I would recomment the Motorola Droid phone.
Droid is a term that is branded to Verizon. They have had many Droid phones. All of them operate on the Google Android system. There are many Android phones that are not branded as Droid. Hope this helps.
Droid is a shortening of Android. Droid is labeled with many phones. [Ex: Droid Incredible] Android is used for the operating system that is compatible with the phone.
Android is an operating system made by Google for cell phones. It is the operating system of the popular Motorola Droid. It is programmed in the C++ programming language, and is Unix based.
The Android SDK or Standard Development Kit is a tool used by developers to code new Android Applications or apps. These apps are compatible with most or all Android phones depending on which versions of Android the developer chooses support (ex: Android 1.5+, Android 4.0+). If your Motorola Droid phone runs a version of Android supported by the particular application (which it almost always will), the app will install, and run on your phone.
Actually i was just searching for the same thing but at&t has compatibility with all motarola phones and i just saw that the Motorola droid is compatible with at&t. Solraven--> actually at&t is a gsm network and the droid is a cdma phone. at&t offers a couple phones that run the android operating system but not specifically the "droid". I don't know who said all Motorola phones work with at&t but that is absolutely not true! If a phone takes a sim card it will most likely work with at&t.
Motorola has a history of pushing the limits of cell phone technology. Over the years they've created notable, top-selling phones such as the StarTAC, RAZR, and more recently, the Droid and Droid 3. With the Droid, Motorola helped introduce the cell phone world to the Android operating system from Google and its capabilities. Their latest phones include native support for HD video, qHD displays, and access to thousands of apps in the Android Market. Once only available in desktops, the latest Motorola phones also come with dual-core processors to make videos, games, and other apps run quickly and smoothly.
