roughly, my uneducated guess would be about 20 to 25 percent. never seen the inside of a prison, but i read a lot of news and hear about how most inmates who keep a low profile, and know how to do time stay out of harm's way. i know prison isn't as violent, barbaric, and lawless like it is in the movies. at least not in the same kind of way, more in terms of psychological torture and punitive deprivation of inmate rights, and tons of guard control.
I don't know if you're counting inmates dying from medical neglect. In California, that would be one per week. Our medical services in prison were found to be unconstitutional several years ago and the CDC was ordered to bring it up to standard. Years later, nothing has changed, so the management of inmate health care has been taken over by the federal courts. All to do with the polititions turning their back so they can be seen as "tough on crime".
It's not fair that someone arriving with say a four-year sentence ends up with a death sentence because of health neglect. I had a friend who was diagnosed with skin cancer, and it took them one ENTIRE year to schedule him with a specialist, where he underwent immediate surgery. Thank God, he made it, but that kind of stuff goes on every day in every prison in California anyway.
*ARE YOU EVEN KIDDING ME. HOPEFULLY THEY ALL DIE !! THERE IS A REASON THEY WERE SENT THEIR IN THE FIRST PLACE.
No.
Because he killed people.

it when people are killed or put into prison for expressing their belief in God.
The percentage of those in prison in nz WHO DO WHAT?
Yes. If I killed your family, would you send me to prison? Well... you'd probably want me killed. I live in Australia, I'm safe!
they would put people in prison, or have them killed depending on what they did.
You asked a question wondering what percent of 100 people in a room had been to prison. Basically, it would be necessary to have more information about the room before determining how many people in it had been to prison. It would be possible to give the percentage of the general population. Still, people do not gather in rooms according to their percentage as a part of the general population. People who fit the criteria of Sociopathic Personality Disorder and the ones with Passive Aggressive Personality Disorder - Passive Dependent Type, do not seek out people unlike themselves. You will either get a high percentage or low percentage of people who have been to prison.
