Facebook was actually an idea that merged from a different idea. Mark Zuckerburg stole the idea from 2 twins who were looking into making it into a private Harvard social network. Mark then used this idea to create the very first, original, "The Facebook." Mark and his roommates and one other person start to really expand Facebook. Mark spoke with Sean Parker, who gave him the advice to drop the "The" in "The Facebook." From that point on, it became, "Facebook." From that day, Mark was sued twice. The second one, by Eduardo Saverin (CFO / Chief Financial Officer) doesn't relate to this question, but the first one does. Because Mark Zuckerburg got the idea from the 2 twins and he gave them NO credit for it at all, the twins sued him for many millions. Mark payed them, and Facebook was born to stay.
