Wikipedia "went online" in 2001 however it does not operate under "normal" copyright restrictions. Wikipedia uses a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License to control it's intellectual property.

2010 If you scroll to the bottom of any website if it is copyrighted it wall say copyrighted (the copyright sign) then the year it was copyrighted

In addition, one needs to be aware of the fact that the year at the bottom of web pages gets updated as time goes on. This means that if it says "Copyright 2010", the owner of the page has probably updated the copyright information to reflect that copyright is still possessed/maintained at current time, however , it does not mean that the page was originally formed/authored in 2010. Copyright can go back many years and you can't tell that information from the copyright notice at the bottom.
