I just got the official letter today from verizion, they will be fully switched over on July 31st. 2011. Cdma will go live in select markets in Louisiana and Mississippi and centennial's gsm signal will die, you will have to have a verizion handset to continue service.
Centennial Wireless is available in all states however the network may not be as extensive as the networks of AT&T or Verizon Wireless. Also, it may be difficult to find sales reps in certain states.
No No NO!!!! At&t is Verizon Wireless's competitor... it is no way part of Verizon wireless.
Verizon Wireless's population is 85,000.
*228 will allow you to upgrade your software, roaming capabilities, and switch phones.
Centennial Wireless has merged with AT&T. The merger took place November 7, 2008. Centennial Wireless had operations in rural areas of the Midwest and the Southeast.
AT&T brought Centennial Wireless. The sale is expected to close in the second quarter of 2009.
Apple is not signing a contract with Verizon Wireless. However, Verizon Wireless has signed a contract with Google and now carries two Droid phones. Which does all the things the Iphone does plus some! Check them out!!
No. The only Verizon Wireless phones that use SIM cards are Global Phones. SIM cards are only used for the GSM technology. Verizon Wireless runs off of the CDMA technology. So... if you switch the SIM card, the phone still won't work because it has nothing to do with the CDMA and that's what Verizon Wireless works off of. HOWEVER, you can activate a Verizon Wireless phone on an existing account by dialing *228 pressing SEND then choosing option 3.
the deal was approved by the fcc on oct 4 on oct 16 the plateau deal with verizon has beevn concluded they said the spectrum switch to verizon will be some time in 2013
You can switch carriers all you want, of course, but you would need a Verizon phone to use on the Verizon network. If you have an unlocked phone, you would want to call and verify it with customer service. Their number is 1-800-922-0204, by the way.
No, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless are two different things.
That would be Verizon Wireless.
