many options here. you can use internet browser for webmail you can use built in email app for pop3 or imap accounts you can download alternative email apps browser method is easiest. just go to website for mail (yahoo,gmail,hotmail...etc) and log in. email applications require a bit more work. you must set up account. sometimes you will need pop3 settings (pop&smtp server names) or port numbers. email address and password. open email app and it should walk you thru process of setting up new account. or open email app, click on menu button and go to account settings.
Some email servers can be accessed via POP3 (or IMAP4). You can install an email client, and access any of these, as long as they have the option to configure POP3 or IMAP4. Or you can configure a Web-based email system, to get email from other accounts. Once again, this assumes the servers you want to access have the option to access either via POP3 or via IMAP4. I am not entirely sure which servers have this option; GMail does, but I am not sure about the others.
