The tools button is the settings icon. It contains the tools option inside it.
Refreshing a window is the "reload" button, and rebooting is done with the START button as in XP (restart Windows). Depending on your version of IE, there is either a "back-forward" menu bar at the upper left, or a refresh button just right of the address window.

YES IT CAN! "Reset" IE back to default. You may lose favorites, cookies, history, and any login details saved in IE, but it may also reset IE back to it's original state, for example, before any add-ons were installed. To do that, open IE and go to Tools, then Internet Options, then the Advanced tab, and click the Reset button.
You can open 2 account at a time on you computer. 1st account on firefox and second one is IE. easier yet if using IE 8. logon to facebook then from the IE file menu select TOOLS>InPrivateBrowsing this will open a new browser window as an InPrivate Browser, then sign on to another facebook account.
Open IE and on the menu: Tools -> Internet Options Hit the Connections tab, then hit the LAN Settings button and UNCHECK "Use a proxy server for your LAN", then OK both windows. refresh the browser and IE should work.
There are forward and backward buttons in IE. They are present on the top left corner of the page.

E7 crashing everytime when I close - also closed all open IE windows "Tools>Internet Options>Advanced Tab->Reset..." fixed this issue. thanks to bobbydb1
