It will depend on what you want your wizard to be. For the schools:

♦ Fire is good at doing damage-over-time spells, spells that stockpile heavy damage over time. They are also good at stunning, and also have some spells that can get rid of shields and charms on enemies.

♦ Ice has incredible health and shields. They can withstand strong spells and survive, and many of their spells consist of stocking their defenses. They also have the ability of threatening enemies, forcing them to focus attacks on them. This can be handy when there are fighting in a group. Duels with them can be very long.

♦ Storm does incredible damage. Their storm attacks are usually all heavy-blowing spells that are capable of knocking an undefensed foe dead in a matter of rounds, but due to the power overload, they have higher chances of fizzling. They also have the lowest natural health in the game. Duels between them can be very fast.

♦ Life has good healing power. They can also heal other buddies if they are running low on health or are defeated, but their attacks are usually weak, and this makes them a very vulnerable target for enemies, so they usually need other wizards to help shield them and/or diverse enemy attacks away from them (Ice).

♦ Myth wizards are good at summoning minions. They are good at fighting solo because they can summon minions that help them. They are also good at getting rid of shields, so if a enemy is stockpiling shields, myth wizards can crack most of them. Some of their attacks consists of two strikes, the first one weak to break any shields, and the second one the stronger one.

♦ Death students have a bit of weak spells, but their advantage is that they can leech health from their enemies. They steal health from other foes to themselves, and this is very handy for dueling solo. They also have some heavy-blow spells to help lower the foe's health other than leeching life from them.

♦ Balance wizards are usually the buffers. They have traps and blades that can help other wizards, so they are handy for group duels. They can buff other wizards, weaken the enemy's spells, and also contain some heavy-blow attacks themselves.
