In 2011, Insignia TVs were made by Best Buy, a major electronics retailer in the United States. Insignia is Best Buy's private label brand, offering a range of consumer electronics, including televisions. The TVs were often manufactured by various third-party companies, but Best Buy marketed them under the Insignia name.

Insignia is Best Buys in-store brand. Best Buy actually contracts different manufacturers to produce the different products sold under this name. Even narrowing the scope down to Televisions, some might be produced by one company, others by a different company. Insignia is made up of all LG parts. best buy purchases them from LG, everything inside of an insignia tv is "last years" lg internals

I just approached this problem, I connected the antenna into the Insignia, an from the Insignia to the Tivo (Series 2), then from the Tivo into the TV. This way I watch Tivo and use the Insignia channels when I change to (Tivo) channel 3. Perhaps not a perfect solution but gives me both of their full capabilites.
It says on the box.
