Why are most of the answers on Answers.com wrong?

Answers can be wrong because it is a community; the answers are written by ordinary people. A lot try to answer to their best ability, but there are vandals who take pleasure in purposely answering questions foolishly. However, supervisors and the Vandal Patrol work around the site, trying to catch as many of those people as possible.

It is not true that more than half are incorrect. As this is a wiki site, anyone may contribute, so there will be errors, but anyone may improve an answer, so please feel free to contribute. Those that are incorrect have not been spotted by someone who knows the correct answer. There is now a system of review which makes errors less likely in new questions, but there are many older questions where you may find errors and the community would welcome your help.

Most of the answers on Answers.com are correct, contrary to your belief. In order to edit incorrect answers, simply sign in and click improve answer.
