Because I enjoy helping people, and so that you have someone to answer your most enigmatic of questions.

Mostly cuz I'm bored. But it's nice to help people, although I don't see how answering this helps you.

Hmm. I don't know if I am externally compelled, but the reason I feel internally compelled is that I want to be able to help people, and often you can do that by answering their questions. I also care about this site, and want it to be a good place where people can come for some good information and insight.

I don't I just ask questions. People who answer them are either really bored or have no life. Well that's my opinion. But thank the people who have answered all my questions!

Because I have a little spare time - and would rather answer a few questions than simply do nothing.
