Why cant you answer directly to a simple question?

It is possible that no one knows the answer, or how to fit factual responses to the way a question is phrased. Check for other possible ways the question might be asked. because you're asking for an answer to a question that doesn't exist.

It's possible your question needs rephrasing. What might seem really clear to you, because you know what's in your mind, may not be obvious to others.

For example, I might ask, 'Why is the sky this colour?', and that will mean nothing to anyone not looking at the sky from where I am. I should've said something like, 'What causes the sky to look blue?', which can be understood and answered.

Try rewriting your question and take a look at it from the point of view of an outsider who doesn't know you.
