No. Is it safe to be asking that question on WikiAnswers, No. Is there people that give you false information on WikiAnswers, YES!
Someone against WikiAnswers hacked the website to make it do that.
Its pretty straight forward. Just stop visiting the website.
Users write false information on wikianswers because they want to mislead other people that their answer is correct when it is not. They vandalize wikianswers by putting useless information or nonsense that does nothing good to this site, except for damaging it. They would get their accounts inactived when they do this. If a supervisor sees a user who constantly writes false information or nonsense as an answer, the supervisor would block the user without a warning.
If answers are close, but a bit false please feel free to edit them. WikiAnswers does not ban people for false answers just because they might have been wrong. That is why any user is allowed to keep editing to keep them from having false information. Now if a user is posting nonsense in an answer that is where you need to report it to a supervisor.
true
That is a false statement. It is smart for students in the 7th grade to use WikiAnswers. It is not guaranteed that their question may already be there and answered, but it is smart for them to at least try to use WikiAnswers.
Was it a cat I saw. True. Was it a cat you saw. False.
No, WikiAnswers itself does not con people. Users on WikiAnswers may post false information in order to lure people into a scam, but this information can be removed by Supervisors and other WikiAnswers members as soon as it is identified. If you spot a user trying to scam people on WikiAnswers, remove their edits and contact a Supervisor.
