Wikipedia blacked out their English site this morning, urging regular users to tell their congressional representatives to vote against two pieces of legislation known informally as SOPA and PIPA.
WikiAnswers didn't! It was the English version of Wikipedia that was blacked out in protest. It was done as a demonstration against legislation that's being proposed in the US which would force certain restrictions on some of the content of Wikipedia.
