Syndol, a medication often used for headache relief, may be unavailable due to various factors such as supply chain disruptions, regulatory issues, or changes in manufacturing practices. Additionally, it might be temporarily off the market due to safety reviews or ingredient shortages. It's advisable to check with local pharmacies or health authorities for the most current information regarding its availability.

What else can you take if syndol is unavailable?

If Syndol is unavailable, you can consider taking a combination of paracetamol (acetaminophen) and ibuprofen for pain relief, as they work differently and can be taken together safely. Alternatively, over-the-counter medications specifically for headaches, such as aspirin or other analgesics, may also be effective. Always consult with a healthcare professional before combining medications or trying new treatments, especially if you have underlying health conditions or are taking other medications.

Why is Syndol getting hard to find in chemists?

Syndol contains codeine, which is a controlled substance due to its potential for misuse and addiction. In some countries, there may be stricter regulations on the sale of medications containing codeine, leading to limitations on availability. Additionally, supply chain issues or manufacturer limitations can also contribute to Syndol being difficult to find in chemists.

Why is syndol off the selves again after only 5 months?

II I phoned the manufacturer of syndol, Reckitt & Benkister, and they said that this second time of unavailability is due to the tablets content having to be overseen by the MHRA, and not a licensing issue as was the case last time.
