Sandisk creates 2 GB SD cards for consumers who may only have a desire to take photos as a 2GB SD card is sufficient for that task. The Sandisk 2GB SD card is their smallest card as they can go up to a capacity of 128GB which is aimed for consumers who wish to take HD videos.
32GB seems to be the highest at the moment. SanDisk are creating a 128GB version for 2011.
Sandisk makes good cards at decent prices. I have bought 5 SD, Micro SD and Compact Flash cards over the years and have never had a problem with Sandisk!

You can always load your pictures directly to your computer using a USB cable rather than a memory card reader.
The reason the phone reads 1 gigabit of memory on the sd card when it is a 4 gigabit sd card is because it needs to be reformatted.
yes it has to be micro SD that's the only one that actually fits. R4i SDHC card is compatible with most MicroSD card, such as Kingston, Sandisk. both MicroSD and MicroSDHC card can be used in r4i sdhc card. R4i card support both MicroSD card and MicroSDHC memory card. From 2 GB to 32 GB.
The memory that is found on a micro SD card is most commonly gigabytes. There are also micro SD card that are megabytes. The megabytes are smaller than the gigabytes.
The Sandisk Extreme III bundled reader will unfortunately only read SD and SDHC cards.
