After it was done, no one could do a thing about that. It is true that the bombs ended the war and collapse Japan's to make war again but on the hand the advocates against the use of atomic bombs mostly referred on the civilian casualties, the illness it brought and the devastation.
President Harry Truman authorised and ordered the dropping of the two atomic bombs. He was following up the plans made under the Roosevelt administration. He didn't actually drop it himself, I doubt that he could have even picked it up.
A part from the blast radius being incredibly large to cover almost the whole of the cities bombed, atomic bombs were the start of nuclear bombs and the radiation spread caused many generations (without knowing) to become wierdly disfigured due to the effects of radiation poisoning/deforming. Also the fact that the bombing was un called for and had no warning at all, so the people there wouldn't have known anything about the bombing, it was just bombed randomly by America as the Japenese didnt surrender.
Atomic Bomb droppings onto Japan changed WW2 outcome as prior to it, Japan was still fighting strong and could of beaten the US. However, when Japan realised the US dropped 2 atomic bombs on August 6th and 9th, Japan was forced to surrender to the US like the Germans were forced to surrender to the Soviets.
This question could be easily misconstrued. While atomic and nuclear explosion mean the same thing, and all atomic bombs are nuclear bombs, not all nuclear bombs are atomic bombs. The more powerful nuclear bombs are hydrogen bombs, and there is a very important fundamental difference between the two. ============================================================== A bomb is fission - the splitting of an atom H bomb is fusion - the joining together of atoms (and much more powerfull)
After the Soviet Union declared war on Japan, he only had days to make his mind. This was one of the reasons for the atomic bombs in ww2.
The 2 atomic bombs used in WW2 were 10 feet long because this was the longest bomb that could fit in a B-29 bombbay.
The major event of WW 2 that changed history was the dropping of two atomic bombs on Japan. From that point on, as these weapons became more powerful, it could be seen that a nuclear war could actually end the world as we know it.
A B-29 Superfortress could carry a maximum bomb load of around 20,000 pounds (approximately 9,000 kilograms). Depending on the type of mission and the bomb configuration, this could include a mix of high-explosive bombs, incendiary bombs, or even atomic bombs. For instance, the B-29 dropped the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, each weighing about 9,700 pounds.
A nuclear bomb has never been dropped. It was an atomic bomb that was dropped on the Japanese cities Hiroshima ans Nagasaki. An atomic bomb is a nuclear weapon. Nuclear bombs have much more impact than atomic bombs, and could potentially end the World if a nuclear war was started.
Yes it was.because by dropping the bomb we got japan to serrender. If it we not used the world as we know it today would not be the same.also russia was starting to invade and we needed to let them know that we had enough bombs that it could happen to them.so it changed both countries.
