At my school, for reading class, we have to put on plays in front of the rest of the class. And we all need to be able to read the scripts. So, I guess you really don't need to learn to read a play, if you know how to read. Which, you should because when you typed in the question, you have to be able to read it. Unless you're blind, of course.
