Ronsonol lighter fluid is designed for use with charcoal and can be used to ignite charcoal grills. However, it is not recommended for use on gas grills, as the flammable liquid can be hazardous and may cause unpredictable flare-ups. Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines for your grill and opt for safer alternatives, like lighter cubes or electric starters, to ensure safe ignition.
We used lighter fluid to ignite the charcoal in the outdoor grill.
what im sure youre looking for is vm&p naphtha. try ace hardware's or any other store carrying Coleman brand camping fluid, zippo lighter fluid, or ronsonol lighter fluid. its not terribly hard to find if you actually know what youre looking for and can avoid appearing as a drug user (for which this is widely used). now go forth, and extract something great.
If you run out, a variety of liquid fuels can be used as a stopgap, Ronsonol will work but as it is a lot more volatile than the naphtha-based Zippo fuel, it will evaporate quickly while the lighter is in your pocket, and let you down. Nothing is as good as the real thing, believe me.
Lighter Fluid
wait between 10 and 20 min depending on how many coal you used and how much lighter fluid you used
Ronsonol lighter fuel is primarily used as a fuel for refillable lighters, providing a reliable source of ignition for lighting cigarettes, cigars, or candles. Additionally, it can be used as a cleaning solvent for removing sticky residues or for degreasing metal parts. Some people also use it for starting fires in grills or campfires due to its flammable properties. However, caution is advised when handling it, as it is highly flammable.
No, lighter fluid and butane are two different substances used in lighters. It is important to use the correct fuel for your specific lighter to avoid accidents.
Sure
First of all don't be scared of lighting the grill, I too was very scared of lighting my grill for the first time. Just remember fire safety. Stack your charcoal in a pyramid and hit it with lighter fluid on the four corners then the top of the pyramid. And soak them good, if you don't the wont light as easily. Take a long match and light it and light your corners then the top, once you get them lit add some more lighter fluid. After your coals turn ashy, spread them with tongs in an even layer. You will be ready to grill at this point. I found it easy to use the easy light charcoal briquettes the first few times I used my grill.
I have used the gel from a can of Sterno. Just smear blobs intermittently on your pile of coals and light. It seems to burn cleaner and is not as "explosive" as lighter fluid.
No , fluid replacement must be with a liquid of equal density/viscosity .
No do not use it. Kerosene will ruin your lighter petrol is what is used in lighters.
