I like to, but it's not necessary.
A lot of people take cigars out of cellophane before putting them in their humidors.
It depends on the cigars. Some of us do, others do not. If you smoke flavored cigars like Lars Tetens and Acids, don't put them in the same humidor as your Cohibas and Punches if you don't want all your cigars to taste like Lars. I wouldn't put really powerful cigars in the same humidor as mild cigars, because the mild cigars will absorb the flavor of the strong ones. But as far as putting...oh, Partagas and Punch together...no real problem.
Some risks of buying cigars online include the order being lost before it arrives,or buying lower end cigars than you thought you were buying, It is suggested you just place a small order to see the quality/packing of the cigars. This way you can build rapport with the merchant by speaking with them before you place an order.
Cigars lose quality when not in a controlled environment Cigars in the box and in wrappers still breathe. 65 -70 % humidity, 70 degrees is what you want. If you let them dry out they are no longer cigars... just leaves. A properly aged cigar can last up to around 50 years before losing its flavors.

Maduro cigars are known for their dark, oily wrappers that are aged longer to develop a rich flavor profile. They are typically sweeter and fuller-bodied compared to other cigars, such as natural or Connecticut shade cigars. The aging process of the wrappers gives maduro cigars a distinct sweetness and complexity that sets them apart from other types of cigars.
