NOT THAT OLD
So how do you find out how old and what the worth is? So many different sites that i don't know what to do? Any help would be welcomed. After you pull your Zippo apart you can remove the padding from the bottom by using your fingers or tweezers.
There is a date code on the bottom. Look through reference tables online. http://tinyurl.com/7cucbw
Believe it or not different zippos have different measurements. You would need to post the model or year of the zippo which can be found on the bottom of the zippo.
if it is in fact a true zippo it should have the zippo logo stamped in metal on the bottom
1995
how much is a zippo lighter worth pat number 2517191 with a shell decoration on front lower right not block letters on bottom it has zippo across sideways kinda
The K indicates the month of issue. K means your Zippo was made in November. 'A' for Jan, B for Feb etc. But a 1935 lighter should not have the letters indicating the month. Zippo didn't start using the letter system until 1986. Sorry but the lighter can't be a genuine 1935 if it has a letter and number on the bottom.
I usually refill mine about twice a week. This also depends on how big the Zippo is and how often it's used.
yes they are. infact this year is their 75th year of manufacturing of zippo lighters.
The letters refer to the month of the year that the lighter was manufactured. A= January, etc.
It's a date stamp. You can determine when your Zippo Lighter was manufactured by the hash marks or other symbols stamped on the bottom of your lighter. This helps Zippo owners in determining the value of their collectibles. You can find the chart for the Date Stamps here: http://www.zippoclick.com/collecting/dateCodes.aspx
