Conspiracy theories aside - the 'Govt' does not produce cigarettes or put chemicals in the ones produced. Legal marijuana production and sale would be an entirely different situation to that of tobacco. For instance, its not illegal to grow tobacco for private consumption in this country, but its hard to grow and impractical for most people. If marijuana was similarly legal, most people would simply grow it themselves at home or buy from friends that are better gardeners.
There is no way someone can answer this and be correct, but i believe that it will become legal some day. It probably wont be completely legalized though, hopefully just decriminalized. Marijuana is something that the government wont be able to completely control, so they probably would not want to completely legalize it in America.
It is both - the chemicals & tobacoo are burning together that are producing the smoke.

The ingredient common to all cigars, pipes, and cigarettes is dried tobacco leaf. Additional materials may be added, especially to cigarettes, to control burn rate, etc.
Cigarettes are mainly made of dried and processed tobacco leaves, a paper casing, and a filter at one end. Additional ingredients can include chemicals for flavor, preservatives, and additives for burning control.
Legalizing Marijuana Opinions: Very possible, some states allow it for medical purposes. The process may take quite a while, but there it is likely that marijuana will be legalized eventually, as the laws become more and more relaxed. No, because pot is so easily grown that the government won't be able to make money from it.Yes, the evidence is overwhelming that the marijuana laws were absolute lunacy from the very beginning. The public is slowly waking up to the long-term fraud.Very likely, I live in Alaska and our state laws say you can have a certain amount in your home if you're 21 or older, of course the federal laws all over rule it. But if federal laws change then less people go to jail, the government could control it, keep it away from minors, and tax the production and sales of it. People need to sign more online petitions to get it going, it's the easiest wayI believe that it should be because marijuana is less harmful than alcohol. I think that there should be a set age limit though like there is for alcohol. Kids are still going to smoke though just like they drink underage. In many countries marijuana is legal and openly available in legal establishments, or at defined amounts for personal consumptions, or for medical purposes. So the answer to the question is yes marijuana will be legalized as it already is legal. As for the answer in the (unknown) jurisdiction that originated the questions, this will depend on local politics.
Smoking what? I can't see how smoking cigarettes would help with pain control, but there is much anecdotal evidence that smoking (or ingesting) marijuana can be helpful with various effects of cancer such as pain, and the side effects of chemotherapy such as nausea and appetite loss.
I dont know about the former, but I haven't had any problems with marijuana.
