I guess if your nasal cavity has eroded to the point that it's a gaping cavern capable of inhaling a smartie without it even touching the sides then you don't have to worry about it, unless it gets stuck up there or lands in your esophagus and asphyxiates you.

It's not GOOD for you, but it's better than cigarettes. It's not yet been extensively studied, but currently it's said that snuff, while worse than no tobacco at all, is certainly preferable to cigarettes.

Snus, on the other hand, has never had a documented case of someone dying from using it.
